Provide food for 5000 vulnerable families. Support rural women and needy families from 300 villages of Latur, Osmanabad, Nanded and Solapur in Maharashtra. The COVID-19 crisis has hit agricultural communities hard, right at the harvesting season. #WorkFromHome is not an option for rural communities. Daily wage earners, landless labourers, marginalised households and women are facing looming hunger.
Swayam Shikshan Prayog empowers grassroots women to build resilience, problem solving skills and relationships to create and lead an ecosystem of women farmers and entrepreneurs. Swayam Shikshan Prayog has been working closely with grassroots women to address the inherent challenges of rural life – sustenance and livelihood, clean water and sanitation and preventive health services. Our programs focus on development centred around women’s participation and leadership. Swayam Shikshan Prayog now has clusters of informed women as consumers, producers, borrowers, entrepreneurs and community leaders in over 2000 villages where we operate.
